Over the course of a 15 year career in people operations, I’ve learned a lot about leadership, creativity, and innovation. I’ve learned that (no surprise) our current organizations just aren’t cutting it. I’ve also learned that people at all levels and in all functions want something different but don’t know where to start.

I believe, in the core of my being, that people and organizations can work together for mutual success. But we aren’t going to do it with the same old best practices. We aren’t going to do it if we continue to treat people like resources. We aren’t going to do it with weak leadership.

On an almost-weekly basis, I’ll be sharing my thoughts on building organizations through the perspective of leadership, freedom, and humanity. Sometimes I write an essay and sometimes it’s a thought or two. What really matters to me is building a community of people who want to talk to like-minded people. I hope you join us on this journey!
